Understanding and Adjusting Timeout Settings in Sharetru's Platform
This article provides guidance on managing timeout settings within Sharetru for different protocols including FTP/FTPS/SFTP and the WebApp.
Timeout Settings
1. FTP/FTPS/SFTP Protocols
Idle Timeout: 3 minutes
Adjustability: The idle timeout setting for these protocols is fixed and cannot be changed.
2. WebApp
Default Idle Timeout: 15 minutes
Adjustability: Can be adjusted
The maximum allowable duration is 60 minutes.
Any changes made will affect all users of the WebApp.
Modifying WebApp Timeout Settings
Shortening Timeout Duration:
While it is possible to set a shorter idle timeout than the default, it is generally not recommended as it could negatively impact the user experience.
Extending Timeout Duration:
The idle timeout can be extended up to a maximum of 60 minutes.
To request an increase beyond the default value for your site, a support request must be submitted to Sharetru.
This adjustment is site-wide and affects all users.
